Carrot cake

The small ones have studied and realised the recipe of a carrot cake for the "Christmas Goûter" with all the CP and CE1.















CARROT CAKE RECIPE

Ingredients (for about 6 people)

 For the dough
-       200 g of grated carrots
-       3 eggs, beaten
-       100 g of flour
-       100 g of brown sugar
-       2 teaspoons of baking powder
-       1 teaspoon of baking soda
-       1 teaspoon of allspice
-       nuts (optional)

For the topping :
- 200 g of cream cheese
- vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- icing sugar

Directions :

-       Preheat the oven to 180°C.
-       In a large bowl, mix together the flour, the baking powder, the baking soda, sugar and spices.
-       Add the carrots and the beaten eggs.
-       Pour the dough in a cake pan.
-       Put it in the oven for about 30 min.
-       Let it cool.
-       Mix together the ingredients of the topping and spread it on the cake.
-       Put into the fridge for several hours
